Villa Galinia was a great find for us. The view is simply amazing, even better than what you get staying at the costly hotels in Thira: we overlooked the Caldera, Thira and Oia and even the Aegean sea on the other side! Akrotiri is a very quiet village where you can also find some good but cheap taverns. If you don't feel like going out, the landlady Argyro cooks something different every day. In any case don't miss her homemade biscuits and cakes at breakfast: they're worth the visit in themselves. In general Argyro and Nikos made us feel at home from the very first moment.

Housekeeper was really very nice woman. She offered me a transfer for free from Vlychada to Akrotiri. I had breakfast free of charge as well, It was introduced as paid at the moment of booking. Good big clean room and large bed. Water-pool, good view from a balcony. Small hotel restaurant where you can enjoy calm evening and order some Greek specialties, beer, vine or coffee. A little bit far from the beach, but if you rent a car, it will not be a problem. Parking in front of the hotel was for free.
Poor Wi-Fi internet in my room, but satisfactory in the bar or near water-pool. Smell of smoking in my room, probably previous guests were smoking inside. I had some problems with communication with housekeeper due to English skills, but it was OK in general.

Staying in Villa Gallinia was excellent choice - location and view from balcony are fabulous, owner and his wife were very, very friendly. Also, there was nice and clean pool. Centre of Akrotiri was only 5 minutes walking which was great. Me and my wife recommend it to all!
Only possible minus is that bathroom and kitchen were not so well maintained - we got the feeling that with little more effort it could look much better. Also, owners and their daughter should work more on their English.

Owners where the most friendly hosts I have ever met in any hotel. They provided us a free transfer from sea port, they drive us to a beach and Fira before we rent a car. The hotel is placed in very peaceful place with a nice swimming pool outside. There is also a small restaurant with a good selection of home made stuff to choose from. All of this made our stay very pleasant. I would definitely recommend it!

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with basic amenities such as air conditioning and Wi-Fi. I particularly loved the communal balcony with breathtaking views of the ocean. Additionally, the breakfast included in the rate was absolutely delicious, with a variety of homemade dishes that satisfied all tastes.
No major issues, everything was just perfect.
